Allys Kitchen

Years ago, I didn’t know how to cook, I lived off of box pasta and jarred spaghetti sauce. I was tired all the time, no motivation to do anything, no hobbies, I wasn’t fun to be around, I was basically a cat. Fast forward a few years, I met my now-husband, who had Ulcerative Colitis, an “incurable” autoimmune disease. Sick for most of his life, uncomfortable, not being able to do the things he loved, and on many medications for most of this life. in 2016 we built our home and decided to change our diets together, we were culprits of the SAD diet. We experimented with many different diets, vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, dairy-free, paleo. It was a struggle, lots of trial and error, I had no guidance, what the hell was I doing? We finally found a diet that worked well for both of us, our quality of life started to improve, we were both feeling the best we’ve ever felt, and John began tapering off his medication, and has now been off of all medications (Humira being one of them), for years!!

Diet changed my life – I then began practicing yoga and found yoga to have a positive impact on my life, that I decided to become a Certified Yoga Instructor. I started to become more environmentally conscious, and stopped buying products with chemicals or items that weren’t environmentally friendly (cleaning products, beauty supplies, clothing, plastic), and started living more sustainably, reducing my environmental impacts. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sustainability and Animal Science.

I have come to Health Coaching because I have been in a position where I wish I had guidance. I’ve learned through trial and error, and it wasn’t easy. I struggled. I want to be able to offer YOU the support you need without having to go through this alone. I am here for YOU. Let’s do this together!
